Main Content

Texas Christian University (TCU) generates a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes through teaching, research, construction projects, and various other operational activities. The daily management, disposal, and recycling of these waste streams are regulated by agencies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). TCU is responsible for the collection and disposal of chemical, biohazardous, and radioactive waste. The University is officially registered as a hazardous chemical waste generator with both the EPA and TCEQ.
